Remote, Yet Remarkably Close

One of the most unique features of The Cabin is how private and wild it feels—while being only a short drive to downtown Livingston. Guests enjoy complete seclusion on the river, then pop into town for coffee, live music, art galleries, fly shops, and some of the best dining in Montana.

Livingston is a historic railroad town with a creative soul—known for its Western heritage, vibrant arts scene, independent shops, and welcoming locals. It’s the kind of place where you can spend the morning fishing the Yellowstone and the evening enjoying a great meal on Main Street.

A riverfront retreat on the Yellowstone River featuring sweeping mountain views, private access for swimming and fishing, and big Montana skies. With hiking trails out the back door and expansive space to gather, it’s the perfect setting for reunions, fishing trips, weddings, and unforgettable moments in nature. Bordering 640 acres of Montana wilderness, the property offers immediate access to hiking trails and open land. Wildlife sightings are common—eagles, osprey, deer, fox, bear, and mountain lions are part of the landscape.

What Makes Us Special

A Place to Wake Up Slowly

Each morning begins with unobstructed mountain views, big-sky light pouring through the cabin, and the sound of the Yellowstone River flowing just steps away. Coffee tastes better here. Time moves slower.
With over ½ mile of private river frontage, guests can swim, wade, or fish at their leisure, while evenings invite fireside conversations, wildlife sightings, and stargazing under Montana’s famously dark skies.

The Best of Both Worlds

At The Cabin, you don’t have to choose between wild Montana and modern convenience. You get both. A place where the road ends, the river begins, and Livingston is right there when you want it. This isn’t just a stay—it’s a Montana experience.
