Our time at The Cabin provided a warm, welcoming space for students to gather, connect, and learn, from elk hunting fundamentals to archery basics. For the past two years, Venery and What’s Your Wild Creative have hosted the Women’s Elk Clinic and Archery Basics at The Cabin, and it continues to be an ideal setting for both learning and community. The split lodging offered the perfect balance: shared spaces for instruction, conversation, and enjoying wild game meals, along with quiet upstairs rooms for personal downtime. With easy access to the surrounding landscape, we were able to get boots on the ground and immediately put lessons into practice. The nearby river provided a refreshing break during warm afternoons after exploring ridgelines and terrain. Each year, we look forward to returning to The Cabin and the memories created there.
